About Hotellet

Hotellet offers accommodation and breakfast for tourists in Copenhagen. We also offer hosting facilities suitable for seminars or other events.

Hotellet is different from other hotels by also functioning as an employment offer to citizens with social problems in Copenhagen Municipality (Københavns Kommune). The Hotel is driven by permanent employees as well as about 30 people in work training, who develop work skills by cleaning, working in the kitchen and maintaining the hotel. Hotellet gives these citizens an opportunity to become part of a working community, where the goal is to maintain a business.

The building 

Hotellet is located in a charming old building that has its own small courtyard garden, at Oehlenschlægersgade 17 in Vesterbro, Copenhagen – about 10 minutes on bike from Copenhagen City Hall and close to shopping facilities, cafes and restaurants. 

The Hotel kitchen is located on the ground floor. The kitchen serves a delicious homemade, primarily organic breakfast buffet every morning in nice surroundings. The kitchen also serves lunch to the people doing work training.

The 10 rooms are located on the two top floors while seminar facilities are located on the ground floor.

The daily manager at Hotellet, Jannie Petersen, is a talented storyteller who can be booked for a lecture.
